Musée de l’Armée – Paris, France – 2022

The Musée de l’Armée is a testament to the rich ancient military history in the world, so much so that it is recognized as one of the three largest arms museums in the world.

“Located in the prestigious Hôtel national des Invalides, built by Louis XIV in 1670, the Musée de l’Armée is one of the largest military museums in the world. Its collection, devoted to the military history of France, consists of some 500,000 items from the Bronze age to the present day. The permanent collection comprises arms, armour, uniforms and military decorations as well as paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs, manuscripts and more.” Office de Tourisme de Paris

Fifteen years after the first installation, Luxam comes back to refocus a case at the Musée de l’Armée. Using the same fiber optic system already set up in the case the lighting is fully upgraded.

Luxam focusers worked with the curatorial and conservation teams to create the perfect lighting whilst adhering to strict conservation norms.

Once the fiber optic lighting is installed there is no need to ever open the case again as the illuminators stay outside of the showcase.

Fiber optic lighting is the ultimate solution for permanent exhibits.
