Département Moderne, Musée de l’Armée – Paris, France – 2024

“Military history, history in motion.”

Musée de l’Armée, or the Army Museum, is home to a collection of over 500,000 objects that tackle the multifaceted history of France through the lens of its military life and war.

True to its civic vocation, the collections in the Musée de l’Armée provide an understanding of the past world in order to make sense of the present world that we live in today. The recent transformation is part of the Minerve project, a major program that will provide the Museum with four permanent itineraries: “The Hôtel des Invalides,” “France’s armed forces and military engagements,” “After 1945: from the Cold War to the present day,” and “Colonisation, decolonisation: a shared history,” all of which are expected to be completed by 2030.

Luxam and the Museum have previously worked together to refocus and upgrade its fiber optic system, which was first carefully installed over a decade ago.
