The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum opens its doors to the public, unravelling its most significant renovation after 40 years. Over 55,000 artifacts are on display across its seven permanent and three rotating galleries. The re-imagined IMS Museum houses Indy 500-winning cars among its collection of race cars, trophies, artifacts, and displays.
“Making the museum accessible and entertaining for the next generation, to tell that history – 116-year history of the Speedway – is critical for a modern time,” Jason Vansickle, IMS Museum Vice President of Curation and Education in an interview on 13WTHR
